A Daily Money Manager (DMM) is a financial professional who manages personal daily money matters such as bills, budgets, account reconciliation, record keeping and organization and much more. They also provide referrals to tax, legal, investment and other professionals.
Daily Money Managers provide personal financial services to older adults, people with disabilities, busy professionals, travelers or anyone who has better things to do with their time.
The American Association of Daily Money Managers supports and promotes excellence in the profession. Their Code of Ethics and adherence to high Standards of Practice are what help strengthen their community. They oversee a voluntary certification program that emphasizes experience in the field, ethics and continuing education.
I always loved being someone's assistant!
I've done this throughout my working years - organizing and managing offices for various business owners, running a tax preparation office, managing rental properties, and also by assisting my parents through the final phase of my father's life.
I hold an Associate Degree in Business and obtained securities and life insurance licenses in my role as a financial service assistant. I am a member of the American Association of Daily Money Managers.
I am also a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Dealing with paperwork is effortless for me and I love turning chaos into order. I created Sage Daily Money Managers with my husband, Michael, to help relieve stress and anxiety for individuals and their families. We can assist those going through major life changes or provide financial oversight to enable independent living for those who can't (or don't want to) deal with this essential part of everyday life.
A friend or neighbor could handle your day-to-day money matterst - the low cost may be appealing - but this can be risky as personal financial matters grow more complicated. You also need to keep in mind the risk of elder financial abuse.
You could have a CPA or attorney deal with these tasks for you or your older relative, but the cost is likely to be much lower by using a Daily Money Manager. Personal money matters need to be taken care of on a regular basis. It makes sense to let a Daily Money Manager handle everyday financial tasks and have the professional review periodically.
Daily Money Managers handle highly personal and confidential matters for their clients. Always ask for a referral from someone you know and trust, such as a friend, relative, lawyer, or accountant. If you must hire an “unknown” person, ask a few qualifying questions before engaging into a formal agreement such as: terms of engagement, scope of work, insurance coverage, education, collaboration with family members and other professionals, costs & billing, and references.
Daily Money Managers work as a team with other financial professionals to ensure that a client’s needs are all addressed in a timely manner:
Fees may be charged hourly or based on a particular project. Predominant rates in this area are between $75 and $125 per hour. We will address this in your introductory meeting.
Send us a message and tell us about your personal paperwork needs. We'll get back to you to schedule a no-cost introductory meeting or phone call.
